Guidelines for Presenters
Guidelines for Oral Presentations
Oral presentations will be 15 minutes long in total, and a live question-and-answer session will be facilitated.
The presenters at the parallel sessions are kindly asked to provide a detailed overview of the research findings or topic of interest, with a duration of 10 minutes, followed by 5 minutes for questions from the audience. We kindly ask all presenters to respect the allocated time.
You will need to bring a USB key containing your presentation materials. To ensure a smooth and efficient presentation process, we kindly request that you test your USB key in advance to ensure that all necessary files are present and can be accessed without issue. Additionally, we recommend that you bring a backup copy of your presentation on a separate USB key or in the cloud, in case of any unforeseen technical issues.
Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your scheduled presentation time to allow for the setup and testing of your equipment. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us.
We look forward to your presentations and thank you for participating in our conference.
Guidelines for Poster Presentations
Authors of accepted posters will be asked to prepare their posters for print and exhibition at the conference venue. Please take note of the poster specifications below when producing your poster.
1. Poster Session
Poster presenters are requested to bring their posters to the poster exhibit at the conference venue.
- Refer to your acceptance letter and/or the final conference program for the time and location of your poster session and set-up time. ETNA reserves the right to set the date and time.
- The designated poster presenter (author or coauthor) is kindly asked to be present at the assigned space during the designated time to present their posters and answer any questions from the conference delegates.
- No audiovisual equipment is available for poster presentations. However, we recommend leaflets containing more information, printed pamphlets, or other types of material for distribution, which might explain or promote the contents of your poster. Note that free copying facilities are not provided by the conference.
- The poster numbers, corresponding to the numbered boards at the congress venue, will be allocated and published on a Poster Sessions webpage, e.g. at the ETNA 2023 Conference Site.
2. Poster Schedule
- A setup and take-down schedule will be available when the final conference program is released.
3. Poster Specifications
We encourage posters that simulate discussion and appeal to a broad audience. Therefore, keep text to a minimum, emphasize graphics, and make sure every item included in your poster is necessary.
- The dimensions of the poster should be maximum A0 size, portrait orientation: 84.1 x 118.9 cm. Poster authors are asked to carefully observe the size restrictions, as we cannot otherwise display your poster.
- Be sure to include the abstract title, author and co-author names, and the institution(s), where the research is underway.
- Include the author’s name and contact information in case the viewer would like more information and future research communications.
- Seek simplicity. Use 500 to 1000 words (including title, figure legends and tables), not more.
- The poster is supposed to be readable from a distance of 1,5-2 m. Choose a font size that is easy to read and not too small. Do not use all capital letters and pick no more than 2-3 fonts.
- Use graphs, charts, and/or tables to illustrate data (avoid large tables of raw data).
- Use high-resolution photographs (web images often do not work).
- Ensure contents have a logical flow, e.g. make sure ideas flow logically from one section to the next.
Please contact us at etna@rsyd.dk if you have any queries.
